A Conversation with William McDonough
A special invitation for Georgetown students: Join us for a fireside-chat conversation with William McDonough, a globally recognized leader in sustainable design and development. Mr. McDonough is an architect with William McDonough + Partners, an advisor to global leaders through McDonough Innovation, and a consultant through MBDC, the creators of the framework of Cradle to Cradle Certified™ products. He co-authored Cradle to Cradle: Remaking the Way We Make Things (2002) and its follow up, The Upcycle: Beyond Sustainability—Designing for Abundance (2013).
Students and attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions and receive feedback on specific topics of interest to them, such as Mr. McDonough’s perspectives on solving global sustainability challenges, specific projects or challenges the students are working to solve, and other issues of the day.
The discussion will be moderated Dr. Laura Anderko, the Robert and Kathleen Scanlon Chair in Values Based Health Care in Georgetown’s School of Nursing and Health Studies. Dr. Anderko is a faculty fellow in the Center for Social Justice Research, Teaching, and Service (CSJ).
Please RSVP by Friday, August 31st. Space is limited and RSVPs will be accepted on a rolling basis.
