All The Glittering Prizes

Please join our distinguished panel of judges for an animated discussion about the behind-the-scenes process of judging some of the literary world’s most prestigious prizes including The Pulitzer Prize, The Man Booker International  Award, The National Book Award, The National Book Critics Circle Award, The Library of Congress Prize for American Fiction, and The PEN/Malamud Award.

Panelists include: Marie Arana, writer and Literary Director, National Book Festival; Pulitzer Prize-winning novelist Michael Cunningham; Lannan Foundation Chair of Poetics and award-winning novelist and memoirist, Aminatta Forna; Susan Larson, Host, “The Reading Life,” and former Book Editor, The New Orleans Times-Picayune; Margaret Talbot, New Yorker Staff Writer.

This discussion will be moderated by Maureen Corrigan, The Nicky and Jamie Grant Distinguished Professor of the Practice in Literary Criticism and Book Critic, NPR’s “Fresh Air.”

This event is open to the Georgetown community and there will be time allotted for questions from the audience. A reception will follow.
