How do you communicate? Are you assertive, aggressive, or passive? Is one approach better than another? What are the consequences of each approach?
Assertive communications allows you to express who you are and what you want to say while still considering the other person. Using assertive communications also helps you sound confident and self-assured.
You will learn:
How and when to speak up for yourself
Assertive techniques that have been proven over time and are easy to use
How to be assertive and respectful at work
Different ways to say “no”
Facilitator: Tony Panos, Partner, Organizational Performance Group
Tony Panos specializes in executive and team coaching and training. He teaches, consults, and facilitates group meetings to improve organizational culture and streamline operations. Tony brings a wealth of business management and training experiences to his workshops, facilitations, and coaching. He has a BS and MBA in Management. He completed Burger King Corporation’s Management Program and spent 10 years with the company, progressing through the management ranks to Franchise District Manager and Regional Training Director. These positions had direct operational and bottom line responsibilities.
He most recently served as the Statewide Director of Management Programs in the Extension Division of the School of Industrial and Labor Relations at Cornell University. In this role, he directed the Management Program activities for the Extension Division.
Tony’s management consulting, hands-on experiences, and strong training background have helped hundreds of clients create more effective and profitable organizations.
There is a $90 materials and facilitation fee for this event which will be charged directly to your office/department cost center. An additional workshop fee will be charged for all registrations not canceled at least 72 hours before workshop.
