Please join the Department of Biology on Thursday, September 13, 2018, at 12:30 pm for a talk on “Staphylococcus aureus: Portrait of a pathogen” by Dr. Dominique Missiaka (University of Chicago)

Prof. Missiakas is an expert on Staphylococcus aureus (Staph/MRSA) and Bacillus anthracis (Anthrax) cell biology and pathogenesis. Her research program investigates cell envelope biogenesis and virulence factor secretion in these bacteria. Additionally, she is interested in the development of pathogenesis and vaccine studies in S. aureus.
