Doyle SymposiumEngaging Difference: Liberal Education in the 21st Century

Each year the Doyle Symposium brings together community members to explore how encounters with difference and diversity both shape and are shaped by the Georgetown educational experience and life beyond it. This year?s symposium focuses on how a liberal arts education might encourage and build upon engagement with difference and diversity.
What does a 21st century liberal arts education look like and what does it mean to engage difference in this context? What opportunities and challenges do we face and how do we best prepare students to face them? What are we at Georgetown doing well and where are we lacking? How might new communication technologies reshape and challenge more traditional educational practice in the liberal arts?

Please join us for discussion, reflection, and the exploration of new ideas for moving forward. For more information and to register, please visit doyle.georgetown.edu/symposium/ .
