CANCELED: Friday Music Series | Mauro Refosco and Tim Keiper, percussion

Due to the COVID-19 crisis and out of concern for public health, all Georgetown University Department of Performing Arts events are canceled through the end of the spring 2020 semester, while academic courses continue online.

Professional percussionist and noisemaker Mauro Refosco performs and records with artists such as David Byrne, The Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Thom Yorke’s Atoms for Peace. Tim Keiper has performed with such artists as Cyro Baptista, Vieux Farka Touré, John Zorn, Matisyahu, Dirty Projectors, Hazmat Modine, and Skeleton Key.

The Georgetown University Music Program’s Friday Music Series features acclaimed artists in free concerts on Friday afternoons at 12:30 p.m. in McNeir Hall, and integrated into a new undergraduate course (MUSC 200) titled Live Music in Context. Each concert is followed by a Q&A with the performers.
