Friday Music Series: Modern Musick

The early music ensemble Modern Musick continues its residency in the Music Program at Georgetown University. Program includes Piano Sonata in F Major, Op. 1, No. 1 by Leopold Koželuch; Duetto in C Major, Op. 21, No. 3 by Tommaso Giordani; and Trio in c minor, Op. 1, No. 3 by Ludwig van Beethoven.

Led by Risa Browder (violin) and John Moran (cello), the ensemble focuses on diverse genres and composers from the early modern era, utilizing period instruments and performance practice techniques. The Georgetown University Music Program’s Friday Music Series features acclaimed artists in free concerts on Friday afternoons now at 12:30 p.m. in McNeir Hall, and integrated into a new undergraduate course (MUSC 200) titled Live Music in Context. Each concert will be followed by a Q&A with the performers.
