Fauré Requiem

The Requiem by Gabriel Fauré is one of the most beloved works in all choral literature. The transcendent quality of this late 19th century work, is revealed by Fauré’s modification of the typical requiem text by removing the sequence Dies Irae (Day of Wrath), and replacing it with the much beloved Pie Jesu.
