Georgetown University Jazzfest

Bring a blanket and join us for a day of great music from local and national artists at the Georgetown University Jazz Festival. The lineup includes the Georgetown University Jazz Ensemble with Jimmy Owens, trumpet, who has played as a sideman with such extraordinary jazz leaders as Lionel Hampton, Hank Crawford, Charles Mingus, Max Roach, Duke Ellington, Billy Taylor, and the Thad Jones/Mel Lewis Band, among others.

The lineup now includes the following:
12 p.m. The Annandale Jazz Ambassadors
1 p.m. The New Washingtonian Jazz Orchestra of the Duke Ellington School of the Arts
2 p.m. Afro Bop Alliance (new time)
3 p.m. The Georgetown University Jazz Ensemble with Jimmy Owens, trumpet (new time)
