GU Concert Choir will join the University Orchestra to perform works by Leonard Bernstein for the centennial of his birth—a year of local, national, and worldwide events that pay tribute to this incomparable artist whose influence and impact on arts and culture in the U.S. and around the world have transcended genres and generations. Program includes Bernstein's Chichester Psalms, excerpts from Mass and West Side Story, as well as works that clearly influence him, such as George W. Chadwick's "Jubilee" from Symphonic Sketches and Charles Ives's The Unanswered Question.
