Please join us for an informative and convenient course for ophthalmic medical personnel (OMP) to earn many JCAHPO CE credits, in our nation’s capital. We have a wide variety of lectures; something for everyone.
COURSE DESCRIPTION AND OBJECTIVES
The Annual Course for allied ophthalmic personnel is a two - day program offering two full days of lectures, with the evening of May 5 reserved for hands-on workshops. The majority of lectures and workshops will be geared toward preparation for the national certification examinations given by the Joint Commission on Allied Health Personnel in Ophthalmology (JCAHPO). There will also be lectures of general interest to OMP.
CONTINUING EDUCATION CREDITS
This course has been submitted to JCAHPO for consideration of CE credits (Friday 8 A Credits, Friday evening 2 A Credits, and Saturday 8 A Credits for a total of 18 A Credits). Disclaimer: This course is not sponsored by JCAHPO, only reviewed for compliance with JCAHPO standards and criteria and not yet awarded continuing education credit; therefore, JCAHPO cannot predict the effectiveness of the program or assure its quality in substance and presentation. The registration fee for the course includes Continental Breakfast, Lunch, and PM Breaks on Friday and Saturday ONLY, plus a course folder and Certificate of Attendance.

What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?
Parking: The garage closest to event is the Leavey Center Garage (Entrance 1 off of Reservoir Rd.) MUST pre-pay for parking for discount ($10 per day vs garage price of $25). Parking stickers will be provided for those who pre-pay at the Registration Table. LATE purchase (after April 28) will be available at $15 per day.
Metro: Rosslyn (Orange/Blue/Silver) and Dupont (Red) are the closest metro stops to Georgetown University. Georgetown University Transportation System (GUTS bus) website: otm.georgetown.edu/guts/ SPECIAL NOTE: Pick-up/drop-off on campus has CHANGED. There is limited Saturday Service and NO mini-shuttle bus service from drop-off to Hospital. Review the website listed above for more information. Alternatively there are busses available from WMATA (www.wmata.com) that connect Dupont Circle to MedStar Georgetown University Hospital. What is the refund policy?
A processing fee of $100 will be deducted from each cancelled registration/participant.
All cancellations and requests for refunds must be received by email@example.com in written communication (by email or fax 202-444-1417) no later than April 26, 2017. No refunds will be granted after that date, regardless of the reason.
The name on the registration/ticket doesn’t match the attendee. Is that okay?
No. We do collect the Payor information but we need the Attendee information for the Registration sign-in and Name Badge. Contact Anna Kiss (firstname.lastname@example.org) for any concerns.
Is my registration/ticket transferrable?
Yes. 48 hours notice is preferred to prepare name badge.
Can I buy by Check?
Yes. Credit card is highly preferred. All Checks must be received in the office by April 26, 2017.
