Rev. John O’Malley, S.J., will give a lecture, “Vatican II and The Francis Factor,” on Thursday, June 19 at 7:30 p.m. Father O’Malley is a Georgetown College professor in the Department of Theology, and his research focuses on the religious culture of early modern Europe, particularly Italy. His most well-known publications include The First Jesuits (Harvard University Press, 1993), which has been translated into ten languages; What Happened at Vatican II (Harvard, 2008); and Trent: What Happened at the Council (Harvard, 2013).
