Kevin Hector Talk

Kevin Hector, Associate Professor of Theology and Philosophy of Religions at the University of Chicago Divinity School, will discuss his new research in ecclesiology on Friday, March 24 from 12 - 1:30 in Healy 101 (the Bioethics Research Library). The title of his talk is "Prayer and the Transformation of Emotion."

Professor Hector is the author of the noted Theology Without Metaphysics and The Theological Project of Modernism: Faith and the Conditions of Mineness. His teaching & research are devoted largely to interpretive questions, particularly how best to understand faith commitments, and how the outworking of such commitments can shed light on broader cultural issues. 

The event is sponsored by the Department of Theology and Graduate Program in Theology and Religious Studies.
