MLK Day of Service

Join Georgetown University’s Center for Social Justice Research, Teaching and Service and the DC Promise Neighborhood Initiative for a service day event in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.  DCPNI and Ward 7 residents, and students, faculty and staff from Georgetown University, and local alumni will come together to honor Dr. King through service. Volunteers will work in service projects throughout Ward 7, ranging from food preparation for those in need to elderly outreach. Participants will then gather at Cesar Chavez Public Charter School for Public Policy at Parkside to reflect on and celebrate Dr. King’s legacy.  Our goal is to engage in the Ward 7 community and be inspired by Dr. King’s commitment to service.
