Over My Dead Body: Incentivizing Organ Donation

Organ procurement policies in the US and other countries try to meet the need for life-saving organs, but in most countries a large gap remains between those needing organs and those donating organs. Would incentives help increase organs available for transplantation. Visiting Researchers Macey Henderson, J.D. and Claire Lademacher, M.A. explore organ procurement policies in the US, Germany, and Austria. This talk is part of the Cookie Friday Bioethics Speaker Series. Cookies and beverages will be served during this informal presentation - which starts at 4:15 pm - and during the question and answer period following. All are invited.
