Prepare and Deliver Effective Presentations
Three, two, one, the floor is yours! For many professionals, being able to deliver effective presentations is both an important skill to carry out their work and a useful asset to advance their career. Whether you are briefing your team about a new project or arguing for a change in your organization?s strategy, you need to know how to prepare your speech and deliver it effectively. Hear from Jean-Baptiste Pessey (L?11), Adjunct Faculty at Georgetown University Law Center, as he reviews essential principles to prepare an effective presentation. Jean will also share common misconceptions and mistakes that should be avoided. A Q&A component will be included.
A French national, Jean-Baptiste Pessey has worked for several years in Paris as a lawyer with the dispute resolution department of an international law firm, Hogan Lovells (Paris) LLP. He currently serves as an adjunct professor with Georgetown University Law Center, where he teaches Presentation Skills for Lawyers seminars to an international audience of law students in the Law Center?s LL.M. and S.J.D. programs. Jean-Baptiste also offers training sessions to professionals who are interested in improving their presentation skills.
