This is a 2 day workshop, August 22, and August 23, 2017.  9:00 AM to 4:00 PM each day
Project Management is more than just scheduling and organizing. It's managing scope, risks, stakeholders, resources and performance and it's an important aspect of our job.
The Project Management Workshop will provide you with:

An overview of Project Management (PM) fundamentals
Core terminology of the PM life cycle and knowledge areas
An understanding of how to define project scope including time cost and quality constraints
The know how to be able to define roles and responsibilites for project stakeholders

Facilitator: Gordon Young
In his first job out of college, Interactive Learning Systems, Gordon worked with adult learners making career transitions from a wide variety of production-level jobs to administrative positions. The courses he taught included accounting, word processing, business math, business communications and records filing. He was selected the school's Instructor of the Year in his first year of teaching. After two years in the role of instructor, Gordon was promoted to Education Director, where he managed the instructor team, reported on regulatory compliance, and monitored overall student progress for the college based in Athens, GA. He moved from Interactive Learning Systems to AT&T where he coached technical writers on their use of instructional media and adult learning theory. He went on to use these skills in the industries of finance, telecommunications, and defense contracting. Most recently, Gordon has been applying these early work experiences to teach thousands of project managers how to make project management more approachable, actionable and sane.
** Must attend both days to receive credit.
***There is a $90 materials and facilitation fee for this event.  Workshop fee will be incurred for all registration not canceled at least 72 hours before workshop.
