PubMed 101 @ DML

Do you feel like you might not be getting the best results from your PubMed searches? Are you looking to get beyond searches that are "good enough" to searches that are actually good?

Come to the PubMed workshop at Dahlgren Memorial Library and we'll help you get comfortable with PubMed basics, including:
  - help you set up your own NCBI account within PubMed,
  - show you how to optimize and refine your searches,
  - how to store and retrieve your searches, and more.
If you need MEDLINE articles for your latest research project, review article, or assignment, this workshop will help you navigate PubMed more easily and effectively. Also, get a sneak peek at the new PubMed design and features due to roll out in late 2019, early 2020.

Open to Georgetown and MedStar affiliates only.  Registration and participation require a georgetown.edu, gunet.georgetown.edu,or medstar.net email address. The physical class size is limited to 25 students, with more spaces for distance learners. There will be snacks and water available, but you are welcome to bring your lunch for some meal-time learning.

The next month, December 11, 2019 there's a companion workshop: My NCBI and SciENcv Workshop.
