Rethinking Plastic: Answering a Global Call to Action
Open to the entire University community, the luncheon will feature a keynote talk by sustainability thought-leader William McDonough, who will present a new language of plastic based on his books Cradle to Cradle and The Upcycle. He will outline solutions for redesigning products, packaging and policy to have beneficial rather than negative impact on people and the planet. Following the presentation will be an audience Q&A with a panel including Mr. McDonough and a Georgetown student, faculty and senior staff member, addressing the role of individuals, communities, industry and government in seeking solutions. RSVP in advance will be required and accepted on a rolling basis.
This event is co-hosted by Georgetown University's Office of Sustainability, Urban and Regional Planning Program, Global Cities Initiative, Mid-Atlantic Center for Children’s Health and the Environment, and the Georgetown Environment Initiative
