Dennis P. Lockhart is the 14th president and chief executive officer of the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta. He is responsible for all the Bank’s activities, including monetary policy, bank supervision and regulation, and payment services, and is a member of the Federal Reserve’s chief monetary policy body, the Federal Open Market Committee. From 2003 to 2007, Lockhart served on the faculty of the Georgetown University School of Foreign Service.
The Tanous Family Endowed Lecture Fund was established by Peter J. Tanous (C’60) in 2010 in honor of Lauinger Library’s 40th anniversary. The fund supports an annual lecture program for the Library Associates.
