The Ambassadors' Summit: Climate and Conflict
Wednesday, April 5 at 5:00pm to 7:00pm
Healy Hall, Gaston Hall 37th and O St., N.W., Washington
This conference aims to address the intersectionality of Climate Change and Security. As a primary challenge to national security, climate change aggravates problems such as environmental degradation, poverty, public health, racial and social tensions, and state destabilization.
This conference will feature an Ambassadors' panel, including the German Ambassador Peter Wittig, Danish Ambassador Lars Gert Lose, and Barbadian Ambassador Selwin Hart, and will be moderated by Dr. Kathleen Hicks, Senior VP at CSIS. Our keynote speaker will be General James L. Jones, former National Security Advisor and distinguished alumnus of the School of Foreign Service. He has been an advocate for energy security and has dedicated his life and career to serving and protecting the nation. We could not be more thrilled to welcome General Jones back to campus to address the future generations of leaders and innovators.
