The Philodemic Society Merrick Dinner
The Merrick Debate is our annual event honoring the best speakers in the Society. The winner of the debate receives the Merrick Medal, the only non-academic award allowed to be worn at graduation. The winner is decided by our panel of judges; in the past we have had members of Congress, military leaders, attorneys, esteemed journalists, business executives, and college presidents serve on this panel. The Merrick debate does NOT require a ticket and is open for everyone. Reception at 10 am with debate to begin promptly at 10:30 am.
The Merrick Dinner is a formal dinner to follow the event, and does require a ticket. For the dinner, black-tie is requested. Cocktail hour from 5:30 - 6:30 pm, and dinner from 6:30 - 9:30 pm.
Limit: you may purchase a maximum of TWO tickets, one for you and a plus one. Please note that the Under 21 and 21+ tickets priced differnetly. Be sure to choose the ticket corresponding to your age and entree choice.
