Posada: Camino a Belén (The Way to Bethlehem)

Ballet Folklórico Mexicano de Georgetown
Winter Showcase

BFMG’s winter showcase is intended to reflect a Mexican posada—a nine-day festive anticipation of Christmas in Mexican culture. We will begin by caroling in front of Dahlgren. The caroling represents Mary and Joseph’s search for shelter in Bethlehem. Guests will be lead to a few locations on campus to recreate Mary and Joseph’s journey. Finally, all carolers will end at Gaston. There, you will experience a plethora of traditional dances from four Mexican states that embody the diversity of this wonderful country. Join us after the show for a reception filled with delicious and authentic foods.
